Is your dog also so scared on New Year's Eve when fireworks are being fired? That will soon no longer be necessary, because Ford has come up with a solution for this:a noise-suppressing dog house. The doghouse has noise-cancelling technology that is similar to the technology used in cars and headphones. This protects sensitive dog ears and the pets no longer need to be completely isolated.
When the microphones in the doghouse prototype pick up the sound of fireworks, a built-in sound system emits opposing frequencies. These completely suppress the sound, or attenuate it considerably. An integral part of the design is high-density cork, ideal for soundproofing. The result? No more stress for pets. This concept offers possibilities for a much better start to the year, for both dog and owner.
The noise-cancelling dog house is a prototype and the first in a series of initiatives by Ford (called Interventions), which use automotive industry know-how to solve everyday problems.
