For the first time in the ice cream company's history, Ben &Jerry's is unveiling two new flavors designed exclusively for dogs. Doggie Desserts from Ben &Jerry's are tasty frozen treats that are perfect for your pet, specially formulated for dogs with sunflower butter. The frozen fun of peanut butter and pretzel swirls in "Pontch's Mix" or the cool creaminess of pumpkin and mini biscuits in "Rosie's Batch" is just what a good dog needs after a rough playdate or a long walk with his owner. All of the high-quality ingredients used in Doggie Desserts can be found in Ben &Jerry's current ice cream recipes.
"Pontch's Mix" and "Rosie's Batch" are named after two real dogs in Ben &Jerry's office:an affectionate Frenchie and a mixed-breed rescue dog. As a dog-friendly workplace, Ben &Jerry's Vermont headquarters often have as many as 40 pups under the desks, keeping employees company. They are all part of the K9 to 5-er crew that makes the atmosphere in the office a bit cheerful.
In addition to the two new Doggie Desserts, Ben &Jerry's has teamed up with like-minded suppliers to offer must-have pet accessories such as a custom tie-dye belt made from recycled water bottles and a plush ice cream cone filled with recycled stuffing. Limited quantities are available at www.store.benjerry.com.
Unfortunately, Doggie Desserts are not yet available in the Netherlands.
